What is Virgin Indian Remy Hair?

Virgin hair has never been chemically processed to achieve a desired look.
Indian hair comes directly from Indian women in the temples of South India.
Remy hair has been prepared with the cuticles aligned, pointing downward.

How long will this hair last?

Due to the health of this virgin remy hair it will last 1 year or longer with proper care.

Can I curl or flat iron this hair?

Yes, all of our textures can be flat ironed straight without losing their natural texture. You can treat this hair just like your own since it is healthy virgin unprocessed hair.

How do I care for this hair?

Our virgin hair should be cared for in a similar fashion that you would care for your own hair.
Maintenance
Shampoo on a regular schedule to prevent build up. Once a week, or twice a month is ideal.
Use a gentle sulfate-free shampoo. If sulfate-free is not available, diluting it will lessen the harsh effects of sulfate.

Washing
Add water to your shampoo (1:1 ratio) to create a thin watery consistancy. Apply this to your roots with a nozzle bottle. Apply the remainder to your hair shaft. You may use undiluted shampoo for the hair shaft. Massage your roots and hair shaft gently and rinse thoroughly.

Conditioning
Apply a deep conditioner, reconstuctor, or hair mask to the hair shaft. Dilute the conditioner 1:1 with water and apply directly to roots. Allow conditioner to penetrate for 20 minutes with heat, or 4 hours without heat.
Condition wash (Co-wash) your hair when moisture and body is needed.  This can also minimize frizz. This will not remove build up. Apply conditioner the same as you would shampoo and rinse.

Daily
Style hair as usual with or without heated hair tools.
Remember to use a heat protectant to prevent damage. Cream based heat protectants are best for avoiding oily build up.
Use styling aids sparingly to prevent build up.

Sleep
You can place hair in a loose bun or braid it. Add a satin cap or sleep on a satin pillow. Do not sleep on wet hair as matting can result.

Tricks of the trade...
Oil based products weigh down hair. This can work well for curly, but not for straight or wavy. Extensions are not receiving nutrients like your real hair, so they require extra care.

How long will shipping take?

We require 2 business days for order preparation, and 4 business days or less for custom order preparation. Following preparation your order is shipped immediately via the shipping option of your choice. See full details on our Shipping Page.

Do you have a quality guarantee?

Yes we do.
We, at Sundara Extensions, guarantee the quality of our hair. If you feel there is a problem with the hair quality, contact us within two weeks. After that period it is assumed that the quality is fine. Any problems that result after this period, are assumed to be due to factors outside of our hair quality and craftsmanship.
If the hair is shedding, include a small part of the weft. If it is tangling then a small piece of the tangled portion will suffice. You can use a standard sized envelope and stamp to send the hair via first class mail. We will check the sample and contact you within 5 days of receipt.

What is your refund policy?

We offer monetary refunds and store credit refunds. For customers who choose a store credit refund we will include an additional $20 store credit along with their original purchase total.

What are your terms and conditions?

1. My order will leave Sundara's facility in ONE to TWO business days. Or 4 business days in the case of custom colors. A business day excludes weekends and holidays.  Therefore, the total days it takes to receive my order includes Sundara's processing time plus the shipping carrier's shipping time. I have fully read and agree to the return policy and quality guarantee.
2. Each hair texture and color and length will vary slightly from one donor to another. I will receive a hair length that meets or slightly exceeds my requested length.
3. All packages shipped by Sundara Extensions require a signature.
4. (INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS) If my native currency is not USD, I may be charged a 3-5% conversion fee.
